Junior Membership
Junior Team v Henley on June 12th 2005
The Club has actively supported the development of the younger members of the Club over many years, largely through the efforts of our Junior Organisers.
Goring & Streatley is a great place to learn to play golf as the course demands a huge variety of shots to be played. Training is provided by our PGA qualified professional Jason Hadland at reduced cost.
On most Sunday mornings throughout the year Jason holds group lessons for junior players aged 8 or older who are considering taking up golf. Clubs can be supplied on request.

The Club also supports the Golf Foundation Coaching Scheme and encourages Juniors with handicaps to play in all Club medal competitions.

Laurence Eltham
Over the years several of our junior members have gone on to join the ranks of the PGA, either as Tournament Players or as Club Professionals please access our Junior Archive below for further information.
Laurence Eltham (pictured right in 2002) won the Club Championship in 2003 at the age of 16, the youngest player to do so since Carl Mason won it in 1968 aged 15!
Laurence scored 75 and 70 in the 36 hole competition and in 2006 again won the Club Championship with scores of 72 and 70.
Competitions
Club competitions are organised for Junior Members to foster playing abilities on a voluntary basis and we host the Carl Mason Junior Open each year.

The following former Junior members of the Club have achieved considerable success in the amateur game. Both Carl Mason and John Cook subsequently became members of the PGA.

Junior Teams
Our Junior Team plays in the Thames Valley Junior League and were the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Champions in 1991 and 1992.
